This Taiwanese black tea had all of the morning feels to me. Sunbather Red from Austin’s was a wonderful surprise to my palate. When drinking Taiwanese tea, I’m usually deep into my oolong stash. However, one of the great things about tea from Taiwan is they often have some incredibly well-done roasted or baked teas. Sunbather Red was no different. This black tea had a super interesting flavor profile to me that I was happy to enjoy over and over.
In this review, you will learn more about Austin’s Sunbather Red Taiwanese Black Tea.

Sunbather Black Tea Dry:
I don’t come across good black tea that has notes of berry very often. That’s one of the reasons I loved Sunbather black tea so much. It had a long leaf roll, nice oxidation with some occasional lighter leaf color, and a beautiful aroma. It isn’t the type of leaf that falls apart in your hand to the touch.
Sunbather Black Tea Steeped:
I loved being able to see the rolled leaves in the liquor which had a clear amber hue to it. It has a nice rounded sip, smooth, with a berry finish. Unique with this tea, there were hints of sun-dried tomato. All of this combined for a slightly sweet sip that is a beautiful way to start the day.
