Has your experience with chai tea become a bit stale? Anjali’s Cup delivers a unique experience that brings you into the tea brewing process.
Chai tea has always been of interest to me, especially after becoming a serious tea drinker. Like tea itself, the diversity of blends from around the world is endless. I have enjoyed non-herbal and herbal blends, from chocolate to turmeric. What Anjali from Anjali’s Cup has done is take the chai tea brewing experience and allowed us to have a bit of a role in the process.

Chai Tea with Anjali’s Cup

Chai Tea Made More Unique
This tea style typically follows a predictable routine, unless you are making it yourself. You find your favorite brand, maybe it’s loose leaf chai tea, maybe it’s bagged. You brew your blend, add any extras, and you are on your way. Nothing wrong with that! My brewing routine was similar until I found Anjali’s Cup.
What Anjali has done is elevate the masala chai brewing experience. The uniqueness here is that you order the tea, which is the base, and then the spice mix you want to use for your beverage. The tea comes separately from the spice mix in the package.
More About the Tea and Spice Mix
The tea used is an Assam ctc indian black tea. This tea is produced with the Crush, Tear, Curl (CTC) method. The result is very small tea balls. This is a certified organic, single-origin tea. By itself, the tea is malty, with hints of orange. It is a rich and deep-flavored tea. I have the Masala Chai Extra Ginger because I enjoy a spicier drink. The spice mix has cardamom, turmeric, cinnamon verum, cloves, fennel, black peppercorns, and, of course, ginger. The spice mix adds depth to the beverage’s flavor.
How the Experience Takes Shape
The easy directions provide guidance on brewing black tea and how much spice mix to use. This allows you to choose your beverage’s strength level (adjusting from Anjali’s recommendation) rather than have it predetermined. The process is easy: all you have to do is steep the black tea with the spices, then remove the tea once it is ready.
There is an upfront spice hit to my palate, followed by a lingering ginger note after the sip, which stays for a little while. This is fun, inviting, and gives you as close to making chai tea on your own as you can get, except the spices are taking care of for you!
Final Thoughts
Anjali’s Cup is perfect for masala chai tea lovers who want to add an extra element of excitement to their process. This would also be a super easy way for those new to masala chai to get into the practice, being that it is so easy to make and the flavors are great!
What I love about Anjali’s Cup is the extra step it gives us in the process. Her products are of quality, and you taste that right away. She also has bagged tea and concentrate chai tea. I have experimented a lot by putting the tea on nitro as well as chai tea latte. I could totally see a recipe made from the brewed tea as well!
